This Drawing Apparatus, bizarre home-made record player equipped with wooden mechanical arms, explores the fertile ground of the divergence between real and perceived. The rotation of the vinyl records causes the movement of the two articulated joints provided with markers, thus producing elliptical compositions that refer to the three-dimensionality of the renders. According to the variable length of the arm or to the speed of the chosen record, the object “bleeds” different patterns. Similar to prints, the uniquely elaborated drawings can be reproduced in series.
