Panayot Panayotof (Paneto) 1944 - 2021

The Box
Years ago, my friend Pani gave me this box.
It was filled with sticks and made during the revolution in Bulgaria. He believed deep down that something great was about to happen. He continued to create groundbreaking art, despite opposition from the old establishment. His girlfriend often cheered him up. There's a small exhibition of his work in our house. The matches ignite spontaneously and permanently illuminate his work.
Pani, we miss you
